Format. Select the text you want to vertically align. Using MS Word 2010, made text boxes, texts in some are naturally centered vertically and some are naturally aligned to top. To change the horizontal alignment of text in Word, highlight the text you want to change and click the left, center, or right alignment icons, as shown in the image. You can double-click the text box to type any text you’d like. In the Arrange group, click Align, and then select one of these commands from the menu: Option.
